One of the facts of life about living in the Greater Phoenix area, is that many of us are separated from our family and loved ones by miles and miles. Recently, Dave came to us because he wanted to be reunited with his father who was having surgery in Israel. A board member who was a part of that interview process indicated it was the most memorable loan she had ever been a part of. She was glad to be assisting someone who wanted to perform a mitzvah by caring for a family member of ill health.
“The borrower was so appreciative and grateful, I truly felt like we made a small step in healing the world,” commented the board member. Our board member knew the borrower was a hard worker in this country. She explained that contributing to this kind of justice was a humbling experience.
This was a case of money preventing someone from tending to a loved one at a time of great need. It must be exceptionally satisfying for our donors to know that their dollars have assisted in supporting this borrower.
